This was always a long shot, but the staff felt they had some traction recently. He's a high academic kid and the visit list supports that. He's not a great athlete and lacks twitchiness/explosion, but he's not a poor athlete by any means. EM Ranking/Evaluation:Projected impact resembles that of a top-50 prospect. Youssef is an above-average shooter from distance, withvery goodmechanics at that size. Look at my clip below. I'm told that while UVA is absolutely a serious option, TJ is intent on giving each respective suitor an objective look. Don't necessarily know if he'd be a guy that plays heavy minutes as a freshman, but there is some pro upside down the road given his positional size + athleticism in tandem with the much improved perimeter shotmaking. His imposing physique also allows him a real hardness on the wings, which few players had this year in Espoirs. Stojakovic isn't stiff, but also doesn't possess ideal agility/range of motion that projects well on the defensive end of the court. Height/Weight: List heights are in the 6'6 - 6'7 range with the weight between 165 - 190. To exacerbate the issue, TJ lacks the size/length/verticality to protect the rim or defend legit centers in the B10. But as always, until a visit is locked-in, you shouldn't get too excited. It is a very projectable shot with no unnecessary motion and a high release point. Kante isn't as twitchy as Moussa Diabate at the same stage, but his lateral movement is mighty impressive. Most notably shotfaking to get a closing defender off his feet, before taking a side dribble and connecting on an above-the-break three. Has visited Kentucky and Tennessee, the two programs seemingly ahead of the pack.

TookOV to Georgetownin May and the Hoyas still seem to be a serious player here. As good as the offense was, defense is still the area where he's an absolute beast. Couldn't find a weight that seems accurate/current. High School/AAU: Imhotep Institute (PA)/Nike EYBL Team Final (PA), Mainstream Ranking: 5-star/Top-15 Overall. High School/AAU: Worcester Academy (MA)/Nike EYBL BABC (MA), Mainstream Ranking: 4-star/50 - 100 Overall. Eye test says 6'8 looks about right and somewhere in the 195 - 200 pound range. In addition to Coach Howard, head coaches from both Pitt and Maryland were also front row for Kante's games, so those two schools appear to be the primary competition along with Rutgers. But he is strong and can absorb contact when going downhill, getting to the charity stripe at a nice clip for a guard. The staff absolutely sees him as rotational piece as a freshman and I concur. Edwards is a no-brainer one-and-done kid, as he checks the positional size/length/athleticism boxes that NBA GMS covet while being a good perimeter shooter. Evolving most of the time away from the leather, he is able to go to the basket to finish in the circle, and this despite a dribble which remains one of the major areas for improvement. On a placed game, this dribble should allow him to navigate better, but in transition, he can already be impressive with the ball in hand and often appears difficult to defend once launched. He's a twitchy athlete with some real acceleration + strength and getting to the rim has never been a problem. The biggest appeal for me is the versatility in scoring package in tandem with his size. Hes not extremely vertical but hes quick and explosive to get up. That gives me hope that Papa is likely closer to a #70 prospect heading into my next evaluation in July. Juwan Howard was front row for Papa during his first two games of the live evaluation period last week. It's no stretch to say that he's the number one overall target for the class of 2023, so securing an OV is a huge positive. The limiting factor is athleticism. From an athletic perspective, Khayat appears to have good straight line speed and solid agility for his size/position. Eurohoops reports a 6'10 wingspan. Says he is 100% taking an official visit to Michigan with Florida State, Texas A&M and LSU being the other contenders. As we saw with Tarris Reed, visits can absolutely change things in a hurry. As good as the agility is, the motor is just as impressive. Barring more transfer additions to the backcourt, the staff will look to add guard depth via 2023 HS prospects. Good playmaker/secondary shot-creator for a big with good ball-skills. 35 attempts over 11 games isn't what I'd label as heavy volume, but given his position as a PF, he's definitely going to command respect as a popper and floorspacer. EM Rankings/Evaluation: Projects to have the impact of a prospect that ranks in the 40-60 range overall if his performances this year are the new normal.
